Master Instructor/Studio Owner: Sifu Castro
Sifu Castro started his training under his master back in 1984 at the age of six, with all the support of his father. His master placed a alot of time into Sifu Castro since he didn't have many kids of that age at his school. Sifu Castro would train since early morning until evening classes. At an early age Sifu Castro was performing advanced empty hand and weapon forms. In his early teens, his father was diagnosed with cancer. Sifu Castro stopped training and got involved with gangs. He got in and out of trouble at school and spent some
time in jail as a young man. Sifu Castro went through a rough childhood, he is a perfect example of what martial arts can do. He started training again and dedicated his life into teaching martial arts to others. He trained for many years before becoming an instructor. He is highly skilled in the style of Pray Mantis Kung Fu, Chinese Shaolin Chuan Fa, Chinese Kempo and Jeet Kune Do. Right now Sifu Castro is currently under Grandmaster Chung from Midland Michgan of the Seven Star Pray Mantis family.

Mrs. Castro has been training privately under Sifu Castro for three years. She is a very hard worker when it comes to her training. Mrs. Castro is Sifu Castro devoted wife and mother of three children. She is the reason why Sifu Castro started his training and opened up the school.
If it wasn't for her, Sifu Castro doesn't think that he would be doing this today. She is the back bone of Castro's Martial Arts Academy and also one of our program directors.
